My name is Tomoko Nakanishi, and I am the Guidance Officer at Coombabah State School. I am passionate about student wellbeing and providing a range of supports to meet the individual needs of our students. My email is tnaka15@eq.edu.au.
Charli joined me when she was 15 months old and is now in her thircl year at CSS, supporting students by promoting positive social skills and providing calming moments to help regulate emotions. She is calm, gentle, and friendly, and truly enjoys being around children. As a Labradoodle, Charli has hypoallergenic fur and does not shed, making her well suited to the school environment.
Before Charli visits classrooms, school staff will revisit the school rules about interacting safely and appropriately with her. I will also be available to answer any questions you may have regarding Charli's inclusion at school.
We understand that some students may not wish to interact with Charli for a variety of reasons. If you do not consent to your child interacting with her, please respond to this email to let us know.
